I'm just hopping on to give you a quick update.
While I was editing Beautiful Revenge, I ended up being triggered by the beginning of it. As authors, we can sometimes get lost in the writing and don’t fully absorb what we’ve written until we edit it, and that’s what happened here.
Beautiful Revenge deals with CSA, and while it’s not on page, and I never get into details, I acknowledge that the emotions behind Briar’s character are very real and may be too much for some readers to handle. Even those who love dark romance.
In order to try and make this easier for some, I will be rewriting the beginning of the book from the MMC’s POV’s so it lessens the ‘ooof’ impact that Briar’s inner thoughts bring, and releasing it as a less triggering version.
The storyline will largely remain the same in both versions, but again, the beginning will change perspectives even while the same events occur.
My goal with any of my books is to bring attention to real life problems and pain in a very real way. I don’t glorify it or doll it up to be something other than the very real pain myself or others have felt from certain events.
Please be patient with me while I work on getting the second version finished and ready to release them both together.
For now, both will be available with Kindle Unlimited, but that may change in the future.
